Brief Bio
David Andrews is Professor of Chemical Physics at the University of East Anglia, where his group conducts research on fundamental photonics, optomechanical forces, optical vortices, nonlinear optics, energy harvesting and molecular energy transport. He has twenty books and over 350 research papers to his name. David Andrews is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Optical Society of America, and SPIE - the international optics and photonics society, in which he is the 2019 Vice-President.

Brief Bio
Paulo Ribeiro received the PhD degree in Materials Sciences and Engineering by Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. He is Professor at Department of Physics of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, since 2000, where he has been dedicated to lecturing applied optics and photonics and organizing didactic sessions and expositions in the field of optical sciences. He is college ambassador since 2016, for the disclosure of the institution. He is founding member, of the Functional Molecular Systems research line at Centre of Physics and Technological Research of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnol ogia of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, created in 2008, where he is engaged in the development and characterization of molecular thin films of organic functional molecules for applications in optics photonics, sensors and devices. Since 2013 he has been chairing PHOTOPTICS international conference series on photonics, optics and laser technology. Brief Bio
Pablo Albella holds a prestigious researcher position (RyC) at Univ. of Cantabria (Spain) and visiting researcher of the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London. Before, he was senior research associate for 4 years at Imperial College London and 3 years at the Material Physics Center in San Sebastian. His research interests and activities are mainly devoted to the fields of nanophotonics and materials science. In particular, he is focused in two different topics, plasmonics and HRI all-dielectric systems where designing, modelling and innovating nanostructures to enhance light-matter interaction is ess ential when aiming at enhancing the actual sensing and spectroscopy applications, biosensing, optical nanocircuits or customized metamaterials. Maria Raposo received the Ph.D. degree in Materials Sciences and Engineering by Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil in 1999 and, since 2000, is professor at Physics Department of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, lecturing Solid State Physics, Surface and Interfaces Technology, Conducting Polymers, Molecular Electronics and Physics of Functional Macromolecular Systems. She is Head of the Functional Molecular Systems group since 2008, whose research interests include electric and optical properties of ultra-thin films of polymers and biomolecules, interfaces and nano-technology, coll oids, molecular architectures for electronics, photonics and magnetism, biomimetic membranes and radiation effect in biological systems. ... André Xuereb is physicist from Malta. He read for an undergraduate degree in mathematics and physics at the University of Malta, a PhD in theoretical physics at the University of Southampton in the UK, and a master degree in entrepreneurship at the University of Malta. He is professor of atomic and quantum physics at the University of Malta, is Science Policy Officer of the Malta Chamber of Scientists, represents Malta on several European research networks, and was recently elected as the first Maltese member of the Global Young Academy. André has an active career in science, having established and leading the quantum research group at the University of Malta, and co-owns an educational software startup.
